Day 232 - HIATUS

I've been in Sydney a little over 6 months now and I've loved this great journey that I'm on. I've successfully kept my blog running until now but during my last year here, I'd like to spend less time on the computer and more time enjoying life.

For the first time in my life, I'm responsible only for myself, making my own money and living my dream of doing my Masters in another country. I've been very fortunate to have supportive parents who have always pushed me to reach my potential and to thrust me into the unknown (Well, not really because Sydney is one of the best cities in the world). You know what I mean.

So now I will stop for a month or two and come back when I feel like it. This started out as a project when I was in SSI to see if I could follow through with it. I can honestly say I have :)

Right now, I will just post in twitter and facebook and pause this blog first :) It has been quite an outlet for me and it was nice to reminisce on what pictures I deemed important during a certain day.

One more year Sydney and then I'm coming home Manila :)

Day 231 - Walking Dead

Can't wait for Walking Dead Season 2. I just can't watch it in the dark or by myself or right before I sleep because it keeps me up for at least 3 hours after.

Almost scared the sh** out of me when I was walking to work. People are actually paid to do this the whole day. Great make up though :)

Day 230 - Definitely not from Hallmark

Day 229 - Make a statement

I love earrings but necklaces are a close second :)

Queen Victoria Night Market, Melbourne

Hart&Heim

Necklace from Ashley (flatmate), Dress from Bardot (Amanda)

Day 228 - Hungry for Czech

My two brothers, Adam from Czech Republic and Gun from Nepal are always game for food trippin. It totally reminds me of my friends in Manila who I miss dearly.  We promised to try out a new restaurant or cuisine once a week :)

First stop, Czech food! I've never tried Czech food but I had an impression that it would resemble German cuisine. I was expecting lots of potatoes, bread and sausages. I don't know why. Luckily I was wrong and I had one of the best meals here in Sydney.

I had the Sampler which had all their best sellers: roast pork, crispy duck and chicken schnitzel.

I can't wait to bring my sister to Tommy's!

roast pork with sauerkraut

chicken schnitzel on mashed potatoes

roast duck with cabbage

strudel with rum and raisin sauce

crepe with poppyseed

Day 227 - Third Chocolate Over load

I curse you Max Brenner. Three times in a month. Must "triple-up" my work out!

Day 226 - Sushi Club

My apartment neighbour Laura came over so we could dye our hair and have lunch together :)

We decided to do takeaway in the sushi place near our place that I've been meaning to try :)

I love salmon in sushi, as sashimi, grilled or any other way. My lunch was awesome!
